What I’m Baking This Holiday Season

I’m excited to be hosting my family for Christmas this year! I’ll be following my own hosting tips to stay on track 😉 . As I’m finalizing our menu, I’ve been hunting down my favorite holiday baking recipes to make for our celebrations. Below check out the treats I’m planning on making plus a mocktail I’m excited to try!

I’ll also be playing my holiday playlist all week!

Gingerbread Cookies

This is my favorite gingerbread recipe! These do not last long in our house – so I don’t make them until a few days before Christmas. My husband and father-in-law take these cookies very seriously and snack on them for two days straight!

They are the most beautiful color brown and so fun to decorate too!

Sugar Cookies

These are from the same blog as the gingerbread cookie recipe and are just as delicious! Plus, they’re SO easy! Another big win for me is I can make the dough ahead of time, let it sit in the refrigerator for up to 5 days before rolling it our & get the cookie cutters out.

Christmas Cracker Candy

We call this Christmas Crack 😆 . It’s so easy to make and a holiday family favorite! We like to divide it into quarters and add different toppings to each section: sprinkles, pecans, flaky sea salt and we leave the last quarter plain.

PRO TIP: Use parchment paper instead of foil because the foil sticks to the back of the caramel.

Good Morning Sunburst Mocktail

I don’t drink, but I like to make a mocktail to sip on while we celebrate. This year I’m trying a new drink! It has only a few simple ingredients: orange juice, sparkling water, and grenadine — cheers!

The Bump has an awesome list of mocktails if you’re not drinking this holiday!
