My 10 Must-Have Kitchen Items

Since Loren and I like to eat fairly healthy, we cook at home most nights. It’s a lot of work, but it’s definitely worth it since we know what’s going into our bodies every day. In order to make like easier, we’ve invested in some key kitchen items that have made meal prep, cutting, and chopping A LOT easier.

Here are the ten items that we consider our must-have kitchen items to make daily cooking much more manageable!

Tupperware

I absolutely LOVE this Tupperware! It does not warp, they stack really well to save space, you can put them in the dishwasher, microwave, and freezer, they have a lifetime warranty, they are stain-resistant, leakproof, and they are BPA-free.

Vegetable Slicer

This thing. Game. Changer. Not only will this gadget keep your fingers safe from sharp knives, but makes slicing veggies so much quicker! It comes with all different blades if you want to get fancy – but my favorite thing about this thing is how EASY it is to use. I use it most often for salad prep, holiday food prep, soups, and roasting veggies. This is a great find & you’ll be happy you have it!

Our Place Always Pan

Well, everything I read about this pan, so far, has been true in my house! We use this pan EVERY-SINGLE-DAY. We use it for all the different cooking methods: braise, sear, steam, strain, saute, fry, & boil. The only thing you cannot do is put it in the oven – which will be nice if they figure that out soon. The colors are beautiful.

The SPOON REST is life-changing, It’s light enough for one-handed holding. And most importantly – it is SO EASY to clean. It took a WHILE for my pan to get to my house – so expect a possible delay, but I’m telling you, it was so worth the wait! It’s NON-toxic and NON-stick – not easy to find! But, they did it! It’s the perfect addition to our kitchen!

Avocado Slicer

We use this every week. I eat a lot of avocado toast + make a lot of guac. This is such a simple tool & I highly recommend it!

Cutting Boards

We were in a cutting board slump for a while. We cook a lot at home – and the ones from our wedding registry 9 years ago just weren’t cutting it anymore.

Vegetable Chopper/Dicer

I have the older version of this & it looks like this updated one would actually replace the veggie slicer too! The chopping of onions and peppers on this thing is AMAZING. It takes a second to chop a whole half of an onion. I use this thing every single week & LOVE it.

Mini Waffle Maker

These little guys are so much fun! Especially for kids + portion control. They have holiday + specialty ones that we can’t help but love. We love to use the skeleton mold for Halloween – Roux’s fav holiday. They have a snowflake, a bunny, honeycomb, a heart, etc! All kinds of fun to add to your kitchen.

Family Waffle Maker

This is a fancy one – but we use it all the time too! This one is pretty bougie – it won’t be for everyone. But, if you’re a waffle fam, you may wanna make the investment.

Our family LOVES protein waffles on the weekends – and this one has been such a great fit for us! I usually make a homemade waffler mix [which is actually very easy] but using a premed mix is fine too! We load them up with tons of fresh berries and love every bite.

Oven-to-Table Stoneware Platter and Bowl

These were a gift to me from my sister. She knows how much I love to host holiday family dinners and I’m always asking for classic WHITE stoneware. I LOVE that these can go from oven to table and have a trivet! I use them every chance I can get – holidays, brunch, birthday dinners! Any excuse!

I hope these help you stock your kitchen! Let me know in the comments if you have any go-to kitchen items you can’t live without!
