This mango salsa is THE BEST! And when you combine it with these amazing homemade cinnamon tortilla chips, you’ve created the perfect appetizer — healthy and sweet! We LOVE making these for our families on the Fourth of July.

HOLIDAY HACK: this is a great crowd fav that can be made AHEAD OF TIME – every host’s favorite!

I make this pretty often because it is so SIMPLE and really delicious. I even make it so we can have it when we get back from the beach or a hot day skiing on the lake.

A lot of mango salsa includes a little kick from jalapeño. I’m a baby, so I leave out the jalapeños. But with or without, this salsa is definitely a crowd-pleaser.

MANGO SALSAINGREDIENTS
  • 3 ripe mangos, diced (YouTube how to dice a mango if you’re new)
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped (sometimes I double this)
  • ½ cup chopped red onion
  • ¼ cup packed fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (OPTIONAL)
  • 1 large lime, juiced (about ¼ cup lime juice)
  • ⅛ to ¼ teaspoon salt, to taste
MANGO SALSA INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In a serving bowl (that will fit in your fridge), combine the diced mango, the bell pepper, onion, cilantro and jalapeño if you walk on the wild side. Squeeze the lime juice into the bowl.
  2. Grab a big spoon and stir everything together. Season to taste with salt, and stir again. For best flavor, let the salsa rest for 10 minutes or longer in the fridge.

I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS FAMILY FAVORITE OF OURS!

Make it for 4th of July or the next get together! And if you’re not feeling the homemade cinnamon chips – the lime tortilla chips from the store are a solid second option!

PRO TIP: have a wonderful mother-in-law who designates herself as the mango dicer!
